From the moment you walk into The Harvey Academy, the joyful energy is unmistakable.
All classes in Grades 3-12 use the Houghton-Mifflin-Harcourt curriculum.
In addition, Grades 3-5 grade students enjoy weekly activities and participate in music, science experiments, PE, yoga, and art.
Students in grades 6 through 12 participate in daily electives including musical theater, art, newspaper, personal fitness, home economics, logic and reasoning, and Spanish.
For lunch, students may bring a lunch from home, or there are a variety of lunch options students can choose from that are delivered to the school daily. Lunches are ordered locally from Flip Flop Subs, Bellini's Eatery, Domino's Pizza, Bolay, Dune Dog, Baldino's Italian Restaurant and more.
Recess for all students is a daily occurrence where students play touch football, wiffle ball, soccer, or simply take a stroll around Paradise Park.
The school year is a perfect balance of work and rest. Nancy and her staff teach for nine weeks followed by a 2 or 3 week break, depending on the time of year.
